Shirley Paden Design Along: Nearing the Finish Line
I haven’t been blogging much lately because I’ve been super busy. I took more classes with Shirley Paden courtesy of my knitting guild back in April. Here’s a picture of us at the end of a challenging day of color knitting. I’m currently enrolled in a couple of classes over at Knitgrrl Virtual Studio. Also, I scored a couple of new design commissions which I will talk about in a few weeks. In the meantime, I’ve continued to make progress on my Shirley Paden Design Along project.
|Madame Butterfly Cardigan seamed.|
As you can see, the cardigan’s sides, sleeves, and armholes have been seamed with close attention paid to how the lace pattern and ribbing elements meet. I must say am less than completely satisfied with the front bands and the size of the hood. Shirley advised a tighter ribbing on the bands and a slight revision to the hood’s length. I’m so close to finishing this project I can hardly stand it! More to come soon on the final revisions.
