Shirley Paden Design Along: Working the Hood
Life is conspiring to keep me away from my hooks and needles quite a bit this week what with Girl Scout cookie booth sales, soccer games, parent-teacher conferences, and the like. But I can still claim some progress on my cardigan.
Shirley gave me lots of information and support to plan out this part of the sweater. Here you can see that I’ve picked up stitches from the left and right fronts and cast on stitches in between. A little past the halfway point I’ll begin making paired decreases to shape the hood which will eliminate most of the reverse stockinette stitches in the center. I’ll finish by seaming the top and the back neck.
